Draft pending legal review
This is placeholder text pending legal review and should be replaced before the service is sold.
What we hold about you
Your name, email address, and hashed password; which workspaces you belong to and your role in each; and a record of the review decisions you make.
What we hold for your workspace
The products and reference images you upload, the listings found for them, retrieved page content and images used as evidence, and your billing ledger.
Passwords
Stored only as a hash. Nobody at Valigard can read your password, and a password reset is always a link emailed to you rather than a password set on your behalf.
Card details
Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. Card numbers are entered on their pages and never reach Valigard.
Third parties we send data to
Product images and listing URLs are sent to search, page-retrieval and model providers in order to perform a search. Listing pages are public; your reference images are shared with those providers to make the visual match possible.
For seller research, the seller’s name and the pages found are sent to:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| SerpAPI | Search provider, which queries Google |
| Firecrawl | Page-retrieval provider |
| Google Gemini | AI provider |
Information about sellers
When a customer requests seller research, we collect business details that the seller of a listing has published:
- business or trade name, email address, phone number, business address and website;
- other stores and public profiles;
- business registration numbers;
- the trader name a marketplace publishes in its own seller block;
- store figures such as ratings.
Each detail is kept with the page it came from and a short quote. We do this in the legitimate interest of enforcing intellectual property rights against counterfeit listings.
We do not read social network pages or pages behind a login; what public search results show about them may be used. We never record private individuals’ accounts or home addresses, and we do not contact sellers.
The details are visible only to the workspace that asked and are deleted after 12 months; copies in backups are kept for up to 30 days longer. A seller can object, or ask for their details to be removed, by writing to [email protected].
How you use the app
To improve the app, Valigard records how its screens are used: which screens are opened, which buttons, links and other controls are clicked, how far down a screen is scrolled and how long it is used. Only the kind of screen and control is noted. We never record what you type, the names, figures or other details a screen shows (products, listings, sellers, searches), or your name, your workspace, your IP address or your browser.
This follows your cookie choice, the same one as on the website: in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland, the UK and Canada only if you agree, elsewhere unless you refuse, and never when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings, at the foot of every page of the website and in the app’s Settings; our cookie policy has the details. Valigard staff, and anyone presenting the app to a client, are never recorded. Valigard decides how this data is used, as its controller: it stays on our own servers in the EU, is never shared or used for advertising, and is deleted after 13 months.
Retention
Workspace data is kept until you delete it or close the workspace. Deleting a workspace removes its products, listings and evidence.
Your rights
You can see and correct your account details in the app. For access, export or deletion beyond that, contact us at [email protected].
